Benefits and Resources
Chi Alpha Sigma is proud to recognize college student-athletes who excel both in and out of competition. All inductees receive an induction certificate to commemorate their impressive achievements; however, there are numerous ways that Chi Alpha Sigma inductees can showcase and celebrate their membership in the National College Athlete Honor Society.
Graduation Regalia
Graduation recognition items including bronze medallions, cords, and lapel pins are available for purchase in the Chi Alpha Sigma online store.
Bronze Medallion $10
Graduation Cords $10
Lapel Pin $5
Please note, graduation recognition items are available for dues-paying members only. Chapter advisors may place item orders for their induction ceremony at any time once the current academic year’s dues have been paid.
Membership Verification Letters
Inductees may verify their membership in Chi Alpha Sigma with a letter from Kellen Wells-Mangold, Executive Director of the National College Athlete Honor Society. Please contact Kellen directly by emailing kellen@ncahs.org for more information.
Awards and Scholarships
Chi Alpha Sigma announced its first-ever National Scholar-Athletes of the Year in 2019. Each summer, the organization will recognize one male and one female student-athlete who have demonstrated academic and athletic achievement, as well as service and leadership both on-campus and in the community. Nominees must be junior or senior Chi Alpha Sigma inductees who have maintained a minimum of a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) throughout their collegiate careers and demonstrated how their experiences as scholar-athletes have influenced and empowered them to be successful after graduation.
The Nick Mourouzis Postgraduate Scholarship endowment was created to award scholarship funding to a previously inducted student-athlete who has exhausted all of their eligibility and will be seeking a postgraduate degree. Application information for both the National Scholar-Athletes of the Year and the Nick Mourouzis Postgraduate Scholarship is sent to chapter advisors annually to assist with nominating eligible inductees.
Resume Builder
Induction into Chi Alpha Sigma is an excellent honor to include on a resume as student-athletes apply for internships and embark on their post-collegiate careers. Inductees are encouraged to list their membership in Chi Alpha Sigma on their personal resumes, LinkedIn accounts, and any other relevant locations to proudly share this impressive achievement.
