Kellen Wells-Mangold

Executive Director

Kellen Wells-Mangold assumed the role of Executive Director in June 2018 and was named the organization's first full time employee in July 2024. In addition to his duties with Chi Alpha Sigma, he works as the Director of Athletics Compliance at DePauw University. He is a 2022-2023 graduate of the NCAA Pathway Program, a facilitator for the NCAA DISC assessment, and has been a member of, or chaired, various NCAA committees. Wells-Mangold received the 2016 North Coast Athletic Conference dedicated service award, the 2019 Universities of Wisconsin Dr. P.B. Poorman Award for outstanding contributions to diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, and was part of the UW-River Falls athletics administrative team that received the 2019 NCAA & MOAA Diversity and Inclusion Award. He is a member of the National Association of Division III Athletics Administrators (NADIIIAA), of which he served on the Board of  Directors from 2020-2024, the Minority Opportunities in Athletics Association (MOAA), and the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A).  In addition to his work in college athletics, Wells-Mangold is actively involved in his community and serves on various local boards and is an assistant coach for the St. Croix Composite mountain bike team. A graduate of the University of Iowa and La Trobe University, Wells-Mangold resides in River Falls, WI with his wife and two children.

Assistant Director

BJ Pickard

BJ Pickard was named the Assistant Director in June 2019 bringing a focus to coordinating communications and assisting current chapters in their efforts to recognize their student-athletes. Pickard has served as the Associate Commissioner of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) since 2017 and resides with his wife and daughter in River Falls, WI.

Emma Bernard

Emma Bernard is currently in the University of Mary Washington's MBA program. Bernard is taking her extra year to finish her Field Hockey career where she has been a captain for the last two seasons. This past May, Bernard graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a minor in Sports Management. During her undergraduate, she earned several academic, state, and conference awards. With both her business degree and sports minor, she is excited to work with data analytics and marketing in her internship.

Alexandra Callaghan

Alexandra Callaghan is currently pursuing an MBA in Sports Management at Lynn University while competing on the university’s women’s swim team for a fifth year. In May 2024, Callaghan graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and a minor in Marketing. During her undergraduate career, she earned a spot on the Sunshine State Conference Honor Roll for four consecutive years, reflecting her dedication to both academic and athletic excellence. Residing in Boca Raton, FL, Callaghan is passionate about the intersection of sports and business. Her experience as a student-athlete has fueled her interest in sports management, and she is committed to leveraging her education and competitive background to make meaningful contributions to the industry.
