Chi Alpha Sigma inductees Parham, Penney join National College Athlete Honor Society staff

RIVER FALLS, Wis. — The National College Athlete Honor Society announced today the additions of DaMarion Parham and Marin Penney as staff interns for the 2022-23 academic year.

Parham is a senior student-athlete on the Henderson State University football team and a 2021 inductee into the Arkansas Theta chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma. Penney is a junior softball student-athlete at Montana State University Billings, who was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma as a member of the Montana Alpha chapter this past spring.

Both will join Executive Director Kellen Wells-Mangold and Assistant Director BJ Pickard on the National College Athlete Honor Society staff, assisting with membership outreach and marketing efforts for Chi Alpha Sigma and Theta Chi Alpha.

“We are very excited to bring on both DaMarion and Marin this year,” National College Athlete Honor Society Executive Director Kellen Wells-Mangold said. “Both will bring excellent perspectives to the Honor Society as current student-athletes and will play key roles in helping our organization continue to grow and better serve the needs of our chapters.”

The National College Athlete Honor Society, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded in 1996. Theta Chi Alpha and Chi Alpha Sigma work with state chapters of two- and four-year institutions, respectively, to recognize college student-athletes who excel in their sport, the classroom, and the community. The National College Athlete Honor Society is part of an athletics community made of diverse groups and supports all efforts in the realm of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
