Nick Mourouzis

Postgraduate Scholarship Endowment

Original Logo.png

Nick Mourouzis founded Chi Alpha Sigma in 1996 with the goal of recognizing and honoring those college student-athletes who succeed both in their sport and in the classroom, while also displaying high level character on their campus and their community. Coach Mourouzis displayed these same characteristics and it is in his honor the Nick Mourouzis Postgraduate Scholarship Endowment was created.

Coach Mourouzis led the football program on the campus of DePauw University for 23 seasons after previous coaching stops at Northwestern, Indiana, Ball State and Ohio universities. It was on the campus of DePauw the first chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma was established and has since grown to a national academic honor society for four year college student-athletes.

The creation of this endowment serves to honor the enduring legacy of Coach Mourouzis and the student-athletes who are inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma. Student-athletes who have been inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma by local chapters will be eligible to apply for this postgraduate scholarship once they have exhausted all athletic eligibility.

Previously inducted student-athletes interested in applying for this scholarship should contact their campus chapter advisor for more information.
